high fire-7 experiment

One day, i was throwing on the wheel and made a couple of pots and when i was done, i thought i would just fool around with the clay left over on the wheel and i managed to get this little beauty out of that. It was the thinest I'v ever thrown and thought for sure it would blow up in the kiln due to air bubbles. Somehow it made it through. I was so proud of myself. Then this little freshmen, Danielle, picked it up and started holding and saying it was so cute and asking if she could have it cause her birthday was tomorrow. i said "no, your gonna have to make one for yourself and if you break it, im gonna kill you"....she broke it....she accidentally knocked it off the table. I watched in horror as she fumbled to catch it...a heartbreaking shatter filled the ceramics room. it had broken into four pieces. "you're making me another thats just as good as that!" i yelled. lol, i think i scared her... she also promised me a cup cake. that was a good cupcake...then, my ceramics teacher gave me the brilliant idea to glaze each piece a different color and then glue it back together. The high fire was starting to pre heat and there wouldnt be another firing in probably several months, so i scrambled to glaze the shards and managed to get them in there at the last second. and this is how it came out after it was all glued back together...
